Description:
We will travel to the planned location by local public transport such as bus or train. We will inform you about the exact time schedule. On request we can also arrange private transport by car (for an extra fee).
This trip is organized as a picturesque 2 and 1/2 hour walk and a visit of Rückl Glass Factory, where you can see the unique production of Czech glass that is famous around the world.
We will meet in the morning in Prague to travel with a local train to Beroun and continue by the river Berounka along the cycle path towards Nizbor, where there is a famous Glass factory in a picturesque valley. We will reach Nizbor around lunch time and will have a traditional Czech lunch at a local pub as well as taste local beers and micro-brews.
Then we will go visit the Glass Factory from the 13th century, where you will be able to see the different stages and traditional techniques of glass production. Each of the individual steps of crystal glass production is explained and presented, as is the art of glass-blowing, the quality control process and the craftsmanship of our glass makers. We will see the whole production process from start to finish. Each stage of crystal glass production is shown, including the art of glass-blowing and incredible craftsmanship of glass cutting. Each product is hand-made. Czech glass is considered a luxurious gift, so you can buy some lovely examples at the end of your visit.
You can also blow your own glass product (additional charge) with the help of an experienced local glass maker and have a unique experience. The workshop needs to be booked 2 weeks in advance with min. of 5 people and it will be charged extra.

Also we will be ensuring your safety and welfare during the hike and the entire trip, as well as helping you with any translations needed when ordering lunch or buying gifts. We will return back to Prague filled of experiences in the evening, just in time for dinner.
