We will travel to the planned location by local public transport such as bus or train. We will inform you about the exact time schedule. On request we can also arrange private transport by car (for an extra fee).
Would you like to spend a beautiful day in the romantic foresty area near Prague and enjoy beautiful views of the river while walking? No need to travel far from Prague for this hike. Just 45 minutes by train and you are out of the city, in the natural environment of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area.
The Protected Landscape Area and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve are peculiarities in comparison with similar landscapes in Europe. It is situated in the center of Bohemia, and almost two thirds of the area is covered by deciduous and mixed forests.
Dense forests, massive rocks, mysterious castles and ruins as well as the wide and calm Berounka River flowing through the entire Křivoklát and Rakovník region – this is how you could describe one of the most beautiful regions lying on the border of Central, West and North Bohemia. Get to know this emerald gem of Europe – the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area – and discover the history of the Gothic Křivoklát Castle built in the 14th century. This region is intersected by a great number of bike paths and hiking routes, we will explore some of them.
One of the places to visit is the village of Zbečno. The local landmark there is the timbered house Hamousův statek. Its history dates back to the 16th century and is thus one of the oldest farms in the former lands of the Czech Crown.
We will stop for some good lunch, of course! We will treat you to a main course and a drink – included in your tour – at a traditional restaurant with a local beer.

Our guests can expect a lot of individual attention with advice on clothing, weather, what to pack, as well as fitness levels prior to the trip. Also we will be ensuring your safety and welfare during the hike and the entire trip, as well as helping you with any translations needed when ordering lunch or buying gifts. Most importantly, however, we will be guiding you through this remarkable countryside and offering you the most unique experience.
We will meet in the morning at the Prague departure point and return back to Prague, filled with experiences, in the evening, just in time for dinner.
