Description:
We will travel to the planned location by local public transport such as bus or train. We will inform you about the exact time schedule. On request we can also arrange private transport by car (for an extra fee).
Hiking tour covering 13 km. Takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete. Great choice for an active day with a variety of sightseeing and combination of nature and history.
We will walk from Sobotka to the village Vesec, a declared rural conservation area that includes 18 log houses, and then content to the romantic rocky valley of Plakanek, surrounded by pine forests. Plakanek means “the crying one” and there is a legend where many people were crying and mourning in this valley. A girl cried here as she left her beloved. We will reach a breathtaking location close by with its prehistoric sand rock mountains.
We will continue on to Kost Castle, one of the best-preserved Czech castles from the late gothic period. At Kost we can take a tour of the castle and see some interesting things such as a medieval torturing room or a strange window, as well as a strange Madonna. The Castle is located in a magical landscape of forests and sandstone rocks, which is rightly called the Bohemian Paradise due to its outstanding natural beauty. If time permits, we can also visit the beautiful Nebakov pond in the Czech Paradise park.
Next stop is lunch, of course! We will treat you with a main course and a drink – included in your trip – at a traditional restaurant, with time to enjoy the best local beers and micro-brews. On the way back we will be passing the unique baroque architectural delight of Humprecht Chateau, before we rejoin our bus back to Prague.

Also we will be ensuring your safety and welfare during the hike and the entire trip, as well as helping you with any translations needed when ordering lunch or buying gifts. Most importantly, however, we will be guiding you through this remarkable countryside and offering you the most unique experience.
We will meet in the morning at the Prague departure point and return back to Prague, filled with experiences, in the evening, just in time for dinner.
